Beau is just enormous. There's no other way to put it. He's blown past all the target weights on the typical growth charts, and he is just huge. He knows he'll be a champion, he just isn't rushing to start yet. Look for him at shows later in 2010. He'll be the junior blocking out the sun.
Beau was amazing, but he died suddenly at a show in September, 2010. He and his girl, Samantha, died within minutes of each other, and after both had won ribbons. I don't think I every hurt so badly in my life. Beau was larger than life, a big, beefy buck who ate everything, threw everything around, was a total slob and a total doll, and I think he'd have changed the whole style of sandy Flemish in the East. Judges loved him, Samantha adored him, and through her, he had a litter of kits on the way.
Almost a year later, I'm still trying to figure out what to do without him. |
